Abstract

The four articles included in this dossier focus on diverse epochs and spaces. With them, we aim to show the different paths musicology can take in women and gender studies.

Author Biography

Pilar Ramos López, Departamento de Ciencias Humanas, Facultad de Letras y de la Educación, Universidad de La Rioja, España

Catedrática en la Universidad de La Rioja, España. Ha sido profesora titular en las universidades de Granada (1993-1996) y Gerona (1996-2007), y vicepresidenta de la Sociedad Española de Musicología (2016-2020). Como profesora invitada ha impartido cursos de máster, doctorado y conferencias de musicología en universidades y conservatorios europeos y americanos. Es autora de los libros Feminismo y música. Introducción crítica (Madrid: Narcea, 2003) y La música en la Catedral de Granada en la primera mitad del siglo XVII: Diego de Pontac 2 vols. (Granada: Diputación Provincial, 1994), y editora de Discursos y prácticas musicales nacionalistas (1900-1970) (Logroño: Universidad de La Rioja, 2012).
