Abstract

The discovery of the Unconscious by Sigmund Freud constituted a narcissistic wound in culture by radically questioning the place of the subject in the world. This wound was subjected to numerous asepsis in order to neutralize its implications. Jacques Lacan's re-reading of Freudian prose elaborated its underlying logic by defining the unconscious as "the effect of the Signifier" and "structured as a language". Today, it is still a matter of understanding and following the epistemological consequences traced by both authors. Assuming the status of the subject of the unconscious, we will try to apply a set of concepts in the reflection on musical creation. To bring to the theory of the artistic practice a cross between Psychoanalysis and music -delineating from the Lacanian topology- to deploy the components that are involved in the creation and the scopes that they project in their praxis.
